Juscelino ALMEIDA DIAS is a PhD Student at
the
LAMSADE - Laboratoire d'Analyse et Modélisation de Systèmes pour l'Aide à la Décision,
Université Paris-Dauphine, France, and at
the
Instituto Superior Técnico (IST),
Technical
University of Lisbon (UTL), Portugal, and
researcher at the
Centre for Management Studies (CEG-IST).
He obtained his Master Degree (2006) in
Organizational Information Management, and Graduate Diploma (2002) in Management from the
Faculty of Economics at the
University of Coimbra.
His research interests are in ordinal classification,
nominal classification, multicriteria clustering, multiple criteria decision aiding,
operational research, electoral systems, project management, accounting,
finance, family enterprises management, learning management.

José Rui FIGUEIRA
is an Associate Professor at the Department of
Engineering and Management from the
Instituto Superior Técnico (IST),
Technical University of Lisbon, and researcher at
the
LAMSADE
Laboratory,
Paris-Dauphine University, France, and
at the
Centre for Management Studies (CEG-IST).
He obtained his Ph.D. (1996) in Operations Research from
the
Paris-Dauphine University.
From 1997 to 2005 he was Associate Professor at the
Faculty of Economics of
the University of Coimbra,
Portugal, and researcher at the
INESC-Coimbra.
Over the last few years he was invited at several universities:
London School of Economics,
Rutgers University,
Auckland University,
University of Catania,
University of Talca,
Free University of Brussels,
Clemson University,
University of Georgia,
University of Valenciennes and
Carnegie Mellon University.
His current research interests are in decision analysis,
integer programming, network flows and multiple criteria
decision aiding.
His works have been published in international journals
such as
European Journal of Operational Research,
Computers &
Operations Research,
Journal of the Operational Research Society,
Journal of Mathematical Modeling and Algorithms,
European Business
Review,
Omega: The International Journal of Management Science.
He is the current editor of the Newsletter of the
EWG
on MCDA and one of the Editors of the book:
Multiple
Criteria Decision Analysis: State of the Art Surveys, Springer,
Berlin, New York, 2005. |
